Yvonne Cynthia Looby Hyland, aka “Looby Loo” and “Ma,” of Estate Barren Spot, passed away on Dec. 3. She was 90 years old.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Everill Burgess; father, Edgar Sylvester Looby; great-grandmother, Susan Gay-Welch; grandmother, Miriam Augusta Burgess; aunt, Ena Sorias and Soria Family; uncles, Woosley Darlimmple Trotman, and Melvin Carlington Trotman.
She is survived by her daughter, Emogen Creese; son, Frank Clarence Hyland; daughter-in-law, Wendy; grandchildren, Olivia Noel Hyland, Frank Carlton Jerrod Hyland, Daven Keenan Jones; great grandchildren, Opal Pollyana Bloom Hyland, Sariyah Hyland, Zy Saxon, Mikhia Jones; brother-in-law, Albert Hyland; step-children, Frederick Hyland, Floyd Hyland; Lorraine Hyland; step-grandchildren, Alora Hyland, Zachary Hyland; siblings, Carol, Ruth, Grace, Carl and Melvin Jr.; nieces & nephews, Martin, Helen, and Richard; special thanks, Louise Hanson, Ozelia Kathleen Lewis, Edison Frazer Phi Beta Sigma, Lori Desalvo (Big Bigsis), George W. Funeral arrangements will be held at the St. George Botanical Gardens on Dec. 17. Viewing will be at 9 a.m. with service starting at 10 a.m. Interment will be held at the Kingshill Cemetery. The family asks those in attendance to wear colorful attire; please no black or mourning colors.
