Bohlke International Airways has ranked in the top five of more than 30 Caribbean Fixed Base Operators (FBOs) in Professional Pilot magazine’s 49th annual PRASE (Preference Regarding Aviation Services and Equipment) survey. This recognition comes as Bohlke is working to complete a brand new modern FBO facility to serve the private and military aviation needs of St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands.

The Professional Pilot PRASE Survey is an annual tabulation of customer opinions of U.S. and international aviation ground services. 716 flight department executives, aviation managers, chief pilots, CEOs and other qualified subscribers to Professional Pilot magazine responded this year to determine the 2022 PRASE Winner’s List. Pro Pilot’s PRASE is the gold standard of aviation ground service leaders.

“Working from a temporary facility as our new *FBO is built and hangar space is renovated, this ranking is a huge testament to the superior service our team provides,” said William Bohlke. “We always say we offer Caribbean hospitality along with comprehensive support, and this confirms that our customers recognize our efforts. Way to go, Bohlke customer service and ground crew teams!””

The St. Croix FBO and hangar were badly damaged by Hurricane Maria in September 2017. Expected to open this summer, Bohlke’s new facility will include a pilot lounge, renovated hangar space, luxury passenger lounge, on-site rental cars and sustainability features like solar and LED lighting.

Bohlke’s fuel supplier, Avfuel, ranks No. 1 for best fuel brand. Additionally, Avfuel was ranked as the No. 2 best aviation fuel credit card.

Bohlke is also in excellent company among Caribbean FBOs, and it congratulates Standard Aviation (St. Thomas), Prov Air Center (Providenciales), Jet Nassau (Bahamas), and Odyssey Aviation (Bahamas).

*FBO refers to a Fixed Base Operator. This is an airport business which handles private aviation (non-commercial), aircraft passengers and services.
