Iris Pearl Perdereaux Dies at 88

Iris Pearl Perdereaux

Iris Pearl Perdereaux, also known as “Tita,” of Estate All for the Better died on Jan. 14. She was 88 years old.

She is survived by her former husband, Eugene Perdereaux; daughters: Alice Brown, Althea Brown, Patricia Sweat, Sharon Solomon and Joan Applewhite (adopted); sons: Wilmot Morris, Gary Brown, Maxwell Perdereaux, Clive Brown, and Mulugata Imhotep; and grandchildren: Dawn and Norbert Moses, Suzette Thompkins, Kendra Bess, Trisha Roberts, Cecil and Tracey Brown, Ira Hobson Jr., Neale, Patricia, Melburn, Jasmine, Shamara, Jeanine, Jason, and Geneva Morris, Cassandra, Delisha, Gary Jr., Kenisha Brown, Trishcan and Jareema Perdereaux, Eric Brown, Julita, Joseph Jr., Julian, Josiah and Jakeem Yarwood, Christina, Amanda, Raheem, Kayla, Clive Jr., Jedidah and Simone Brown, Patrick Kidd, Isaiah Solomon, Amenrael and Akaiheru Imhotep.

She is also survived by great-grandchildren: Malika and Mario Daniels, Precious Durand, Renisha Moses, Ashley Thompkins, Jaime Roebuck Jr., Cehnari, Ce’Raiya, Ce’Laiya Brown, Kymani and Aah’jahnique Morris, Jahworth, Jahmani and Jahnesha Reynolds, Lamondre, Damari, Khemesha, Kheymara, Mikeysha, Michael, Kheymesha, Kamara James, Craig Valasquez, Cario Perdereaux and others too numerous to mention; sisters: Elizabeth Weekes, Stephanie, Mills, Alberta Hutchinson and Muriel Hutchinson; brothers: Ernest Brown, Theophilus Brown, William Hutchinson and Trevor Hutchinson; and nieces: Shanice Mills, Stella, Lydia, Jackie, Stephanie, Debra Brown, Maria Roberts, Michelle London, Nathalie, Lynnete Battieste, Patricia and Deaslyn Douglas.

The viewing will begin at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m., Friday, Feb. 9, at Ebenezer Methodist Church in Estate Richmond. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
