State Office of Special Education IDEA Federal Grant Application Available for Review

The Virgin Islands Department of Education State Office of Special Education has announced the availability of the Special Education FFY 2022 IDEA Part B Federal Grant Application for public review over the next 60 days. (IDEA stands for Individuals with Disabilities Education Act).

Copies of the grant application containing a tentative state budget may be reviewed in both school districts at the Offices of Special Education (state and district), Offices of the Superintendent, Offices of the Commissioner, University of the Virgin Islands campuses, the Charles W. Turnbull Regional Library on St. Thomas, the Florence Williams Public Library on St. Croix and the Julius E. Sprauve School on St. John. The application is also available online at www.vide.vi under Our Divisions—Special Education.

Public comments will be accepted for a 30-day period from April 5-May 6 and may be emailed to Deputy Commissioner Dr. Renee Charleswell at renee.charleswell@vide.vi or dropped off at the State Office of Special Education in the Frostco Building, St. Thomas, or at the office on Hospital Street, St. Croix.
