Ursulina Felix Encarnacion Dies at 83

Ursulina Felix Encarnacion

Ursulina Felix Encarnacion, also known as “Sulin” or “Ursula Felix,” was born March 30, 1940, on the island of Vieques, Puerto Rico, raised on St Croix and a resident of Avon Park, Fla., where she passed on to be with her Lord on April 8.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Benito Felix Rodriguez and Juanita Felix Encarnacion; daughter, Nancy Nieves; siblings: Liduvina Felix, Amador Felix, Israel Felix and Ismael Felix.

Ursulina is survived by her children: Rafael Antonio Nieves, Cecilia Nieves-Roman and Angelita Nieves-Francis; and grandchildren: Rae-chel Nieves-Miller, Jo-Anna Nieves LeGrand-Logan, Edward Nieves, Xiomara Roman, Jason Roman, Ariana Roman, Henry Naar, Jeffrey Naar, Gregory Naar, Suliani Vanderbiezen and Stephanie Vanderbiezen.

She is also survived by great-grandchildren: A’Brianna Miller, Gabriel Miller, Victory LeGrand-Logan, Honor LeGrand-Logan, Aliana Hinson Roman, Dorian Wright Roman, Henrichy Naar, Henricio Naar, Sharlize Naar, Hailey Naar, Jaiden Naar, Suleiman Naar and Anni Naar.

Other survivors include siblings: Paulina Felix de Conde, Corporina Felix de Fragosa, Carmen Gladys Felix, Adelina Felix de Santana, Eugenia Felix, Juanita Felix and Benito Felix Jr; nieces and nephews: All loved by her, yet plentiful! daughter-in-law, Janice Mitchell-Nieves; sons-in-law: Israel Roman and Excelman Antonio Francis; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

The viewing will be held at 9 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 10 a.m., Friday, April 28, at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.

The family respectfully requests that those in attendance wear burgundy, which was her favorite color.
